Villa Restaurant Group Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund

The aftermath of Hurricane Harvey continues to leave an impression across Southern Texas and parts of Louisiana. We have had several restaurants directly impacted by the storm and along with them many of our own people and their families. Our thoughts and prayers go out to these valued team members and their communities, as well as to anyone who has been impacted by this catastrophic event. We sincerely hope for an end to the rain, for the flooding to recede and for a speedy return to normalcy which we as a Nation are so well known for. We continue to pray for all the families impacted and especially those part of our own VRG family, and to help in the recovery efforts we have established a VRG Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund to which we have made an initial donation of $25,000. This money will be put to work in aiding our VRG family in need.

We are committed to helping our team get back on their feet which will accelerate the recovery of the broader communities and cities impacted. The VRG Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund will pay our hourly team members their average daily hours worked (2017) for each scheduled day they could not work due to our restaurant’s closure because of the storm. We hope this will help alleviate some of the financial burden during these tough times.

The Relief Fund will also assist any employee effected who is in need of additional assistance for medical requirements, flood damage, temporary housing, and food. If you have been impacted, please complete the attached form and return it to your General Manager who will liaise with their District Manager and Divisional Vice President. Upon review by the Senior Operations Team, all requests should be sent to VRGStrong@VillaRestaurantGroup.com, where they will be approved and processed by a special committee at the Corporate Office. Requests must be submitted no later than October 1, 2017.

Our commitment to this cause will go beyond the initial allocation, as VRG will match donations to the fund made by our employees. If you have questions about this program please address them to Carolina Mina at VRGStrong@VillaRestaurantGroup.com, or if you would like to make a donation, please send a check to our corporate office:

It is times like these, where families need to pull together and support each other. This is VRG’s way of assisting our team and we hope we can make a positive impact on your lives.

Sincerely,
The VRG Family
